WSJ Live for iPad

The Wall Street Journal is one of the most acclaimed and rich source of all kinds of news, may it be politics, tech, money, entertainment, health, world business, or just about anything. And they have a very strong collection of videos. Even though there are apps for Wall Street Journal’s feeds on the Apple iPad tablet, getting all the Wall Street Journal videos at one place was a problem, and not any more. The new WSJ Live app for the iPad is very good.

The app has a collection of videos on it which are sure not to bore you. Though the app has the word “Live” in its name, it doesn’t actually provide you with live streaming of the TV feed. The content provided on the app is more from the already recorded parts of the video library than the live video feed. Probably, this would improve and provide more live content in the future updates.

If you are concerned about finding the right content for you, the app supports almost all the categories that are included on the Wall Street Journal, including Programs, The Big Interview, US News, World, Business, Markets, Opinion, Tech, Life & Culture, Personal Finance, and more. And the official features list of the app is follows:

Tune into LIVE news programming for the latest from Markets, Tech, Opinion and more

Access the entire video archive of The Wall Street Journal

Discover the full suite of original programs from The Wall Street Journal in our Guide

The app still doesn’t support AirPlay compatibility, which can be a real let down if we are not able to stream the videos to a bigger screen. But maybe we’ll see an update to this in the future. Another area which needs an update is the control of the video. There is no full screen video supported. Giving an option to watch the video full screen would be very good.
