4 Most Recommended iPad Jailbreak Apps

June 30, 2011  |  iPad Tweaks  |  Share

The list below is a collection of my most recommended jailbroken iPad tweaks (or apps). These tweaks are only available if you jailbreak your iPad since you basically need Cydia to install them into your iPad. Take a look at some of the tweaks you might want to try and decide it for yourself if it should be in the list.

WinterBoard is an app developed by Jay Freeman (Saurik the creator of Cydia) that can customize your iPad (also for iPhone). Using this app, you can change icons, customize applications, install themes, iPad dock graphics and change wallpapers of your iPad’s springboard.

Loading and mixing multiple themes at once can be done by WinterBoard. It also allows users to create themes using web development languages like HTML and CSS to enhance the creativity of anyone thus giving unlimited possibilities to improve your iPad.

SBSettings is a jailbreak application that can manage your iPad’s settings conveniently especially when you are using some other app. It can be launched by swiping your status bar from left to right, thus it’s not the same like other apps which can be found in the springboard. By having toggle switches for WiFi, 3G, EDGE, Bluetooth and others found on Settings app, you can easily turn them ON or Off  (Red is OFF and Green is ON).

LockInfo will customize your iPad lockscreen to get the information you need. All the important information that you need to know can be displayed in your lockscreen and LockInfo also supports plugins to expand the available information for your lockscreen.

LockInfo includes plugins for:

  • Mail – you can see new emails including subjects in your lockscreen
  • SMS – notification of new coming SMS will also be displayed
  • Phone – Missed calls can be seen in your lockscreen
  • Push notifications – See all your push notifications displayed on your lockscreen

This is the best and fastest way to update your Facebook and Twitter accounts with just a slide of your finger. On the status bar, slide one finger downwards and qTweeter will pop up so you can write your update. Choose between Twitter or Facebook or both. What’s more? You can open qTweeter on most apps you’re with, as long as you can see the status bar. qTweeter will work without conflict (as I have been using) together with SBSettings.
